ONE by ONE Convention provides platform for student leaders

Hundreds are expected at the Jacksonville Public Education Fund’s ONE by ONE Convention on Saturday, May 6 from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Omni Hotel. This year’s theme is “Students at the Center of the Conversation,” and the event will focus on the importance of listening to students in the work to improve public education. Attendance is free and open to the public but advance registration is required at jaxpef.org/convention.

Latrece Brown named 2017 Florida Blue Duval County Teacher of the Year!

Latrece Brown was named the 2017 Florida Blue Duval County Teacher of the Year tonight at the 26th Annual EDDY Awards. Brown, a fourth grade math and science teacher at Andrew Robinson, was selected by a committee of volunteers from nominees from 173 public schools.
