The Jacksonville Public Education Fund is excited to sponsor the Teachers VIP Lounge area of the Duval County Public Schools P.E.P. Rally on Saturday, May 31 at Everbank Field. All Duval County teachers are welcome to visit the VIP Lounge, where they will be greeted by Teachers of the Year and community volunteers, given swag bags full of goodies, entered into a fantastic prize drawing and treated to their own special lounge and refreshments.

Board of Education, a momentous date when the U.S. Supreme Court declared that the "separate but equal" doctrine of the Plessy vs. Ferguson case in 1896 was unconstitutional. The ruling in Brown v. Board of Education mandated that segregation in public schools violated the Equal Protection Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment.
